Janine Pilney, LADC, is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who obtained a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from NYU in 2002. She has worked in various treatment settings addressing the needs of children, adults, and couples/families with behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues. She seeks to provide a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters client-centered change and growth. She uses a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy which ultimately focuses on the emergence of change through thought. She recognizes that the idea of change can be overwhelming and therefore, strives to create an environment that helps the client feel at ease during the therapeutic process. Her goal is to help the client to develop insight and skills to promote both a healthy mind and body.
Janine is available to see clients on Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and Wednesdays from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
